Late May Fling

Hello diamonds of the world, yes I mean you, how y'all doing? My boyfriend captured a great close-up picture of mine and the result is wonderful *sorry for being so narcistic* Well, as for me, it's been good on me, not to mention my slow-speed thesis progress. Enough of my thesis drama, I am here to spread the goodness. Some of you might have heard or even have participated, but some of you done. So as a constant tweeting bird, I am going to chirp the news.

The well-known department store in Indonesia are having its latest fashion campaign. It's our all-time favorite, Metro Department Store. To welcome their summer collection, they are having Fashion Fling Contest which going to be held from now, yes the time you read this, up till June 5th. They are hoping all of you to participate.

"HOW??" comes in your mind, so worry not, girls. As I said, I'll chirp everything about it. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is send your photo that most suited their contest theme. There are two themes which are delightfully dreamy and eclectically edgy. If you have no idea about these two themes, here are some hints for you.

Three winners of this yummy contest would get each IDR 3,000,000 (three million rupiahs) of Metro Shopping Voucher. Don't have the guts to join? you still have the chance to win another Metro Shopping Voucher worth IDR 100,00 (one hundred thousand rupiahs) for being the crowd of reviewer. Yes, by ONLY rating and commenting the submission of others you have the chance to win that daily, every day from now to June 4th.
Sooooo, what are you waiting for, dress up like doll, capture it, and you could start wandering around Metro near you and spot some of your delicious target. Or, sign in daily and probably you'll end the day with winning the daily prize. Exciting, isn't it?

This contest ends of June 5th, 2010, which means you don't have much time. So hurry and check on my submission too *wink wink*, kindly rate/comment if you want. Don't forget to follow these two twitter account, @METROdept and @fashionesedaily to catch up with latest updates for the contest.

I promise you to post a look real soon, already have the materials but too lazy to work it in LightRoom. So I guess, I see you on the contest microsite since I'll be wandering around quite often.

So have a great day, you diamonds!

VIXEN by Evelyn Francisca

A warm hello to my dearest blog-world!

Blame me for being such a bad blogger due to lack of updates. Seriously, my thesis stuff is killing me. So now I am trying to pay my debt to you all. Last days of April, I got the invitation for ESMOD SHOW on FASHION NATION EVENT by Senayan City with Audi, April 29th on Senayan City Atrium. A friend of mine, Evelyn Francisca  held her latest collection runway show there. Too bad, disease hit me on the last minute, my sore throat fever had beaten me and I failed to attend this event *extreme sadness*.

No worry, ladies. Some of my other friends managed to attend the event and snapped some for me. Seeing these photos, made me feeling sad even more. The collection is very edgy and gorgeous in the same way. Therefore I promise to myself, I would keep my health until her next show at Fashion and Food Festival at Kelapa Gading.

Until then, kindly enjoy her latest collection,

 Vixen by Evelyn Francisca.

ps. I am totally into what Kimmy has in her, and those shades are killer!!

Who's agree with me, gorgeous right? Well, I wish her great successful life to come and bringing all that fabulous idea into life. Way to go, Eve.

there are slight changes on the terms and condition so that BOTH COMPETITION are open for high school and college student. Interested? click our official blog to see the complete TOR or send question to our cp (Sekar 081361702630)

Still no outfit posts till now since I even have no times to just sit and breathe. I hope I can do that real soon and for those comments which I haven't replied yet, I will catch you up.In the meantime, please stay positive, keep up the good work, and just like GLEE said, don't stop believing.

Oscar 2010, what a show!

 Warm Hello!!
As we might know, that Oscar's Night is just aired on TV! Did you managed to see it? Well as for me, I was mesmerized by the stage set at the Kodak Theater on that night. The stage is so fabulous in my eyes, the arch at the front edge, the backgrounds, everything!! for those of you who haven't seen it yet, take a look!!

this is the design made by David Rockwell

Seeing this made me said to myself, I would love to design that kind of thing someday, somehow! :D. Not enough for you? worry not. This is the performance of So You Think You Can't Dance contestants on Oscars Night. They performed a dance adapted from the Oscars nominee movie. Take a look, satisfaction guarantee.

(video courtesy of sytycdism.com and thanks to Lalitia who has tweeted this link)

Oscar might be the last show this year and seemed like the stars really take it seriously. The red-carpet show is awesome, everyone came up with their best style and it's hard to find the wardrobe malfunction player this time. Take a look at my personal choices of best dressed nominee.

(all images below courtesy of Just Jared)

I have to admit that this is my first time seeing KStew on haute couture, and she looks pretty gorgeous in this beautiful strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier. I hope she stays like this until the Eclipse premiere heehee.

a navy gown by Valentino accompanied with nude peep-toe pumps looks fabulous on Mimi. I personally love it and might want some for me, please!!!

I believe this is the very first time printed dress looks haute on red carpet. Rachel McAdams looking flawless on Elie Saab Haute Couture. love love love!!!

I love Anna Kendrick make-up and hairdo. It looks very young and sweet, definitely gonna copy this for my uncle's big wedding later. And this style are perfectly matched the sweet Elie Saab Haute Couture nude pink dress and Judith Lieber clutch.

Zoe, daughter of Lenny Kravitz looking effortlessly stunning with this velvet-cream gown. And the big bow at her back detail is kinda cute. Sadly, I can't find any info about who is she wearing.

I love her Marchesa dress, I love her sleek hair, I love her make-up, and I love to see her winning her Best Actress in a Leading Role Nomination for The Blind Side!!! YAAYYY!!! She has been my favorite actress since Speed! And she is really perfect for my BEST DRESSED award!!

the story hasn't ended yet, I forgot to mention this on my previous post. I want to send a big bunch of thank you to B'Girl Magazine for featuring me and some of my fab blogger friends on their March edition. Well, this was not my best picture since I kinda believe this was the first pose that I'm not ready yet -_-'' but still I gotta be thankful for that. Thanks guys!!!

I promise you that outfit post will come out in no times! I haven't find any reason to go out and dress up since everyone around me keep on yelling at me to get some rest due to my accident wounds. I'm feeling totally great, though, so maybe I'll push them to allow me out in couple of days :D.

p.s. for those of you who haven't read my previous post, and wondering where the hell I've been for quite some time, you might want to read this, click click!

In the mean time, please take a good care of yourself. continue a ser fabuloso cada dia, vê-lo em um piscar de olhos.

the greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do

"the greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do"
Walter Bagehot

Today is chuch time and idk why this thought is suddenly came up in my mind. I dare myself to ask mom whether I allowed or not to use flats. Well as I already mentioned in my previous post that my mom has a very strict rules on church dress code: no jeans (pants or skirt), no flat sandals, no bare face. But I felt a little laid back today (read: lazy to do make-up, lazy to try on so much outfit, I just grab things that caught my eyes first) so I decided to use a super casual outfit and I guess flats would best to suit my comfy batik dress. Then I quite surprised when my mom said, "ok, you look nice". Me: fiuuhh. Her: "but only now!" haahaha. Ok mom, idk why maybe it because of my pms :(  coz actually I didn't mind using heels too (for sure).

(Inner: MNG Tee, Dress: Malioboro Batik (less than USD 3), unbranded black suede flats, Bag: Black Balenciaga Giant City Gold Studs, Bangles: Cascade Boutique, Krey Shawl: Cotton Ink)

ps. sorry for bad quality of pictures, blame it to massive laziness I felt today

I have something else to tell you. I like this new thing on the block but I'm not quite sure if it is quite good for my feet or my style or not. I'm not a trend follower person, I admit. I prefer to watch than wear on some trends that I'm not quite sure if it goods for me or not. :) But maybe I'll change my mind on this, maybe. Coz they look gorgeous on Chanel S/S 2010 show.

as they titled this image "a trend to discover" I would discovered it first whether it suits me or not *wink*. And this is some more of them

do you already have one? how if you convince me to buy this pretty thing for some new member to my shoe familio? :)

Burberry ss10 Accesorries Campaign

Actually I didn't like seeing our little Miss Granger doing her previous Burberry f/w campaign. But this time, I think she did a pretty good job. I love how Watson interact with the other male models, also including Alex Watson, Emma's brother.
